The corporation's name along with its focus “Helping Hands for Willing Minds” recognizes that if individuals are willing to abide by a godly standard of uprightness, integrity, and accountability, their lives will change and they will become productive members of society while discovering true freedom.  Residents will be encouraged to complete any court-ordered or otherwise beneficial programs available in the community and be required to attend services at a christian church of their choice.

...Our FAITH
...Our WORK
One of our biggest challenges is finding full-time job opportunities for those released from incarceration. Regardless of job skills, intelligence, abilities, or experience, when it comes to the
"Background Check" - almost all employers deny ex-felons the opportunity to work. They are routinely rejected from having the opportunity to once again become tax-paying, contributing members of their community.
When given the opportunity, our clients lend a helping hand, even if it's a project they will not be paid for. The Key to Freedom is not using the excuse of being denied job opportunities to get on welfare, lay on the couch, and watch TV all day. The freedom is found in giving back - doing something constructive - being helpful - being a contributor instead of being a recipient.
Dear Friends of HIS Keys to Freedom:

We would like to take this opportunity to provide a brief update on the progress and headway HIS Keys to Freedom has made this past year. Unable to obtain a large acreage we were hoping to acquire, we are taking a step-by-step approach to establish this ministry to inmates recently released from correctional facilities.

With the gracious and generous funding from a family who is very familiar with the difficulty these people are having in finding a place to live, our first property, a mobile home in a rural area of southwest Oklahoma City, has been secured for temporary housing for one of our first clients. We are hoping to procure more properties as funds become available to us.

We appreciate the prayers and financial support behind this outreach. In spite of a difficult economy and so many people struggling to get by, the need to provide a safe place for our clients to live and to provide them the opportunity for employment is a substantial and important mission. With rising homelessness and its accompanying desperation and hopelessness, we want to ease this social concern with the means to transition these capable people to productivity, usefulness, and self-respect.

We look forward to serving more people as we grow and as more people get behind the financial support required for this ministry.

We rent a sizeable

some heavy duty
mowing, brush-

LibertyFest Parade
The Edmond Sun

EDMOND — Thousands lined four streets in downtown Edmond Friday morning for the LibertyFest Parade. The parade was lead
by parade marshal Carl Benne, 82, of
Edmond. Benne is best known for his work
with the Edmond Round Up Club and chairing
the annual LibertyFest Rodeo committee.

Families started showing up in downtown as
early as 5 a.m. to stake out the best seats
along the route. Residents and visitors alike
were decked out in red, white and blue
paraphernalia as well as having brought
their breakfast and coolers with plenty of
drinks along for the more than two-hour parade.                  - See more at: www.edmondsun.com
